Introduction

Barney's Farm
Barney’s Farm Haarlemmerstraat

I was able to pick up Cookies Kush in Amsterdam at Barney’s Farm Haarlemmerstraat, which had been on my to-do list for quite some time. The High Times Cannabis Cup in November last year, might have been according to the most recent reports, the last Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam until the legislature over here has finally loosened up.

Inside the coffeeshop, I asked for a gram of Cookies Kush (16 euro’s per gram) which at first they gave me a baggie of leftovers. After making clear this sample was going to be used for reviewing purposes, I had to wait a few minutes before I got a nice recognizable baggie with the strain on there as you normally get from Barney’s Farm.

For reviewing purposes, the Cookies Kush sample has been smoked and vaporized to fully understand it’s potential.

What’s the high like?

Whereas this strain is categorized as a high in THC Indica, I have grown very fond of its effects. Unlike you would expect, this strain didn’t hit me like an Indica normally would. I’ve shared it with a couple of friends and neither of us really hit couchlock of any kind.

Instead, I found the high to be very uplifting and much more enjoyable than your average haze which is very common around here.

Taste and smell

Cookies Kush tastes much like Girl Scout Cookies as you would expect. But unlike the reviews up on leafly, I found it has a very earthy, musky smell. Not the sweet, pungent or lime smell it has been attributed.

Conclusion

If you’re ever around Amsterdam and would like to try out a good kush, Cookies Kush at Barney’s Farm is a pretty good choice. And while you’re there, you could pick up some seeds to grow Cookies Kush yourself too.

Unable to visit Amsterdam? Europeans can order their own Cookies Kush seeds online at Azarius.net and support The Stoned Society while doing so!

Budtenders in the Netherlands usually don’t know about all ins and outs. They’re focused on the job, so I’ll forgive ’em 🙂
