Santa Rosa, CA (October 2, 2015): Care By Design and AbsoluteXtracts are donating an additional $10,000 of medical marijuana products to patients who lost access to their medicine due to the fires in Lake and Napa Counties. Due to enormous outpouring of support, the local medical marijuana companies have decided to extend the offer of medicine at no cost to local patients affected by the fire.

The companies have partnered with local dispensaries throughout Northern California to assist patients impacted by the Valley Fire. The dispensaries include: California Member Services (delivery only service), Sonoma Patient Group, Peace in Medicine (both locations) and SPARC.

“We’re pleased to be able to help them out. The number of patients who have taken us up on our offer to replace their medication gratifies us”

Care By Design and AbsoluteXtracts jointly stated: “The Valley Fire has had a devastating impact on our neighbors in Lake and Napa Counties. We’re pleased to be able to help them out. The number of patients who have taken us up on our offer to replace their medication gratifies us. We’re also delighted by the number of local growers and product makers who have joined us in supporting local patients with like donations.”

Care By Design and AbsoluteXtracts have made it easy for patients to pick up replacement products at no charge. Medical marijuana patients simply need to go to one of the five participating dispensaries listed at www.cbd.org/valley-fire-relief and present a prescription and a valid CA ID with an address in the affected zone. The giveaway ends on October 7, 2015.
