For those few who haven’t heard of it before, the cannabis cup is an annual held event in Amsterdam, organized by HIGH TIMES magazine. This year’s edition, will be from 18-22 November.

After Rock Werchter, Sziget and our Roadtrip, we have one last event marked in our calendar: the HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cup. Luckily for us, Amsterdam is rather close, but for many it will include a plane ticket and a holiday in Amsterdam.
If you still haven’t bought your cup tickets, a 5 day judge pass is $269.00 with a $7.72 fee, or 250 euros at the door. There are also one day passes available at the door for 50 euros. You don’t get “free” weed, as you have to buy samples in the cooperating coffeeshops, but some of the shops boots at the expo might have free samples available.

These judges-at-large decide the Cannabis Cup (overall winner in the cannabis variety competition), best new product, best booth, best glass, best hash and best Nederhash. A team of VIP judges decide which seed company has grown the best marijuana. The HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cup also includes live music, comedy and an expo for marijuana-related products from cannabis-oriented businesses.
Judge passes are still available over at the official website of the HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cup , as well as a map with all the participating coffee shops.
So, we’ll definitely be there (we’ll let you know which days we’ll be at the expo, including coverage of the event), will you? Leave a comment and perhaps we can smoke together!
